Two Bridges, One Clean Square
The Southfield Sprint Shades take the squared lens and double bridge that defined 1970s eyewear and build them into an everyday frame. A second bar runs across the top, a slim inner rim outlines each lens, and open cutouts at the temples add a finishing detail you notice up close.
Form-fitting nose pads and a lightweight frame keep the front comfortable for all-day wear.
Six Lens Colors
Copper, Atlantic, Saffron, Graphite, Carbon and Vapor. Every lens carries UV 400 protection and anti-scratch polycarbonate that stays clear season after season, so there is a tint for bright beach days and one for everyday errands.
Wearing 70s Square Sunglasses
70s square sunglasses work for men and women and suit most face shapes, especially round and oval faces that benefit from straight lines. Lean into the decade with a camp-collar shirt, flared denim or a suede jacket, or keep it simple with a black tee and let the squared front give the outfit a sharper finish. More frame shapes live in our sunglasses collection.
Frequently Asked Questions
What makes square sunglasses look 70s?
Larger squared lenses and a double bridge, a second bar across the top of the frame, are two of the clearest 1970s signatures, along with warm gradient tints. The Southfield Sprint Shades combine a squared lens, a double bridge and a slim inner rim, in six lens colors from Copper to Vapor.
What is a double bridge on sunglasses?
A double bridge is a second bar that runs across the top of the frame, parallel to the regular nose bridge. It started on pilot eyewear and became a signature look in the 1970s. On the Southfield Sprint Shades it sits above squared lenses for a structured, confident front.
Do 70s square sunglasses suit all face shapes?
They suit most face shapes, and they are especially flattering on round and oval faces, where the straight lines and top bar add definition. Heart-shaped faces wear them well too. Form-fitting nose pads on the Southfield Sprint Shades help the frame sit comfortably whatever your face shape.
