Our Story
Where Clark & Cove Begins
Clark & Cove began with a family — Abraham Clark and Jenny Cove — and a simple idea: luxury without the price tag. From a cross-continent move to New York to the pieces we ship today, every choice traces back to that. Real people, real standards, real service.

Testimonials
The bat ears do the work
The bat ears do the work
A frenchie necklace lives or dies on two details, and both of them are shape rather than sparkle: the upright bat ears and the short squished muzzle. Get those wrong and you have a pug. This pendant is cut around them and then paved in hand-set stones, so the silhouette still reads at a distance. The whole breed range sits under dog lover gifts by breed.
Frenchie people call them Frenchies
Frenchie people call them Frenchies
We have built this page around the nickname on purpose. Search the formal breed name and you land in fine jewelry - solid gold, sterling, black spinel, prices past two hundred dollars. Search the nickname and you land where this piece actually belongs: everyday plated jewelry at under fifty dollars. Same dog, two different shops. Ours is in the pet jewelry range.
Three colorways that behave differently
Three colorways that behave differently
Black gives you a graphic pendant that reads as a shape first. Gold-tone is the warmest and the most obviously jewelry. Silver-tone is the quietest of the three and the easiest to wear next to other pieces you already own. Same casting, three different moods - the rest of our women's jewelry is built to sit alongside them.
What it is, and what it is not
What it is, and what it is not
Zinc alloy base, hand-set rhinestone pave, artificial stone detailing, plated in black, gold-tone or silver-tone. Not sterling silver, not solid gold, not diamond. If you want the frenchie in the room as well as around your neck, we make french bulldog lamps too.
Wearing it, and adding his name
Wearing it, and adding his name
On after perfume and lotion, off before showering, swimming and the gym, stored dry. The pendant is cast rather than engraved - if you want the name, the engraved keepsake charm clips onto the same chain in gold or silver.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this necklace for me to wear, or is it for my dog?
It is for you. This is a human necklace - a chain you wear, with the breed's face as the pendant. It is not a dog collar, not a collar charm, and not anything the dog wears. Worth stating plainly, because rhinestone dog collars genuinely do show up in the same search results.
Is this sterling silver, or is it plated?
Plated. The base is zinc alloy, the stones are hand-set rhinestone and artificial gemstone, and the finish is a gold-tone, silver-tone or black plating. It is not sterling silver, not solid gold, and not diamond. We would rather you know that here than find it out later.
Why do the French Bulldog necklaces I find elsewhere cost $200 or more?
Because the formal breed name and the nickname pull two different markets. Search 'French Bulldog necklace' and you get fine jewelry - sterling, 14k solid gold, real stones, prices from around a hundred dollars to well over a thousand. Search 'Frenchie necklace' and you get everyday plated pieces in the thirty-to-fifty range. This is the second kind, and priced as one.
Will it turn my skin green?
It can, and it is not a reaction to your skin. Copper in an alloy meets sweat, lotion or perfume and leaves a green mark that washes straight off - harmless, but annoying. Put it on after lotion and perfume, take it off before you shower, swim or work out, and keep it dry. We are not going to promise it never happens, because we do not have plating-thickness data to back that promise.
Can I put my dog's name on it?
Not on the pendant itself - these are cast pieces, not engraved blanks. The Keepsake Engraved Charm clips beside the pendant on the same chain and takes two lines of eight characters each. Coco, Bella, Peanut, Milo and Biscuit all fit. Bartholomew does not.
